Biometric Notice

None of our tools use photos today. This notice explains where we stand on face and hand data, and what we will do before that changes.

Why this notice exists

Some laws treat measurements of faces and hands as biometric information. FacePalm Lab does not collect or keep that kind of information, and this notice explains where things stand.

Today

Every tool on FacePalm Lab right now is a text tool. Text tools run entirely in your browser. No photos are used, and no face or hand measurements are taken, sent or stored.

Photo tools in the future

We may add tools that use a photo. Before any of them launches, we will update this notice to say what the tool measures, where the processing happens, whether anything leaves your device, how consent works and how long anything is kept.

Our aim is to analyze photos on your device wherever we can. If a tool ever needs to send a photo to an outside service, we will name that service and ask for your consent first. We will never sell face or hand data or use it to identify you.
